Who We Are
ProCrossbow.com is an independent crossbow review site built for hunters and shooters in the United States. We’re a small team of two: David, our founder and editor, has spent 8 years deer hunting with crossbows and knows these weapons inside out — from budget bows to flagship speed machines. Nick Buckman, our contributing writer, brings the beginner’s perspective: he’s passionate about whitetail deer hunting and elk hunting, and he’s learning the craft one season at a time. Between David’s experience and Nick’s fresh eyes, we cover crossbows the way real hunters actually use them.
What We Do
We publish in-depth buying guides, honest product reviews, and practical how-to content — everything from choosing your first crossbow to tuning bolts and staying legal in your state. Every commercial recommendation on this site links back to our testing and review methodology, so you always know how we reached our conclusions.
How We Make Money
ProCrossbow.com is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our pages — for example Amazon links carrying our tag — we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. That commission never affects which products we recommend or how we rank them; brands cannot pay for placement. Read our full Affiliate Disclosure.
Our Standards
- Verified specs: every speed, weight, and dimension we publish is checked against the manufacturer’s current listing.
- Honest pros and cons: every review lists real drawbacks, not just selling points.
- Fresh content: our buying guides are re-verified at least once a year, and every article carries a real “last updated” date.
- Clear labeling: when a review is based on hands-on testing it says so; when it’s built from spec analysis and owner feedback, it says that too.
